I also served as Administrative Director of Graduate Medical Education at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in Hudson, FL.
Why Fine Arts? When I relocated to Dover, Ohio, I was looking for an opportunity to combine my educational experiences in marketing, web design and social media with my work experiences in Health Care Administration and Plastic Surgery and I was immediately drawn to Fine Arts Skin and Laser Facial Plastic Surgery. Their philosophy for delivering high quality patient care combined with the desire to create a strong team dynamic in the workplace was the perfect fit for me. I look forward to working with this amazing group of people to further their vision and expand the practice.

My husband and I center our lives on supporting our children through their educations and activities.
What Matters: Jesus Christ is the center of our family and daily lives. Our wish is always to respect and be grateful for the journey He has planned for us, and to work harder at the faith and patience needed to honor those plans. We are so blessed with a loving God who guides us with love and understanding every day.
Melissa Hartman, MA
Chief Financial Officer
Education/Experience: I received my BA from Lehigh University, and my MA from New York University.
Why Fine Arts? I love witnessing the emotional transformation that happens in a client after a rejuvenation package treatment – seeing the new sense of well-being and confidence. For that to happen with every client, the staff also needs to be taken care of – and that’s my job. I take great joy in operating behind the scenes to support the team; I love fine-tuning Fine Arts Skin & Laser to provide exceptional client satisfaction (we call it the “Wow” experience) and still be an exceedingly pleasant place to work.
Family: I have been married to David since 2001, and I love collaborating with him on this adventure. I’m so proud to watch him meld his artistic talents, remarkable patient-care instincts, and outstanding surgical skills to create Fine Arts Skin & Laser. Together, we have two wonderful children – Lucy and Jonas.
Hobbies: I love my kids! I often end up shooting hoops and playing soccer with Jonas (though I’m awful); Lucy, my hang-out buddy, is content to just sit and talk – she loves to write fiction and aspires to be a novelist one day. There’s nothing better than relaxing on the front porch and visiting with friends as our kids play happily in the yard. I’m fascinated with food and when I find the time, I read cookbooks obsessively. I also love music, though I’m not singing as much as I’d like. Active with New Pointe Community Church, I volunteer as a women’s small group leader and serve on the Sunday check-in team.
What matters: I’m constantly learning about who God is and His love for people. It’s important to me to grow in my relationship with Him. I fail all the time, but am trying to “fail forward” and not beat myself up when I make mistakes. I want my kids to know about God’s boundless love for them.
Education/Experience: I attended National Beauty College, and am certified in advanced facials, body treatments, and full body relaxation massage.
Why Fine Arts? My favorite part of what I do is getting to see clients’ confidence grow after every visit as they let their inner beauty show on the outside. I love working in an excellence-oriented workplace like Fine Arts Skin & Laser where I can use my talents to give the best in client care.
Family: With my husband, Doug, we raise three children: Lane, Jensen, and Allie.
Hobbies: My hobbies include family time around the campfire, reading, and gardening.
What Matters: My faith guides me in life and is an important principle I want to instill in my children. Christ, family, and friends are the most important things in my life.
Director of First Impressions
Education /Experience: I attended Aveda Institute in New York City. I have been a licensed cosmetologist for over 18 years. I specialize in hair and makeup for all special events.
Why Fine Arts? I love to witness people bloom and grow with the confidence they can have when they feel good about their appearance. Dr. Hartman has created a wonderful atmosphere to work in that has fed my passion to further my education in advanced technology in health, beauty, and skincare.
Family: I am a Mom to three beautiful girls, Penelope, Mila, and Bay. They are the light of my life and the greatest blessing.
Hobbies: I love watching my girls pursue their passions. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My girls and I are active at our church and spend time serving there and in our community.
What matters: My relationship with Christ is very important to me. I want to be the hands and feet of Jesus here on earth. I have been able to do this with mission work in Ecuador and I am excited to see where God leads me!
Laura Necci, RN, BSN
Education/experience: I am a registered nurse and earned my ADN from Herzing University. Prior to becoming part of the staff at FASL, I worked in the hospital setting. I have experience in critical care, telemetry, medical/surgical, hospice, and the MRDD field. I love being a nurse and having the opportunity to provide patient care.
Why FASL?: I first came to FASL as a patient. I loved the office staff and the services I had received. I couldn’t have been more thrilled when a nursing position was offered to me! Working as an aesthetic nurse is my dream job! I really like being a part of the surgical team and being able to build relationships with cliental. I feel honored to be able to be a part of their journey and to get to see their results, physically and emotionally!
Family: I have been married to my husband, Mike, for 8 years. He’s an orthopedic surgeon and we actually met at the hospital! We have 3 little boys together. Luca is our oldest, and Gino and Gianni, our youngest, are identical twins. The house is very active, and the boys keep us on our toes!
Hobbies: My main hobby is chasing my 3 boys around. Thankfully for them, I’m a nurse because someone always seems to have a boo boo! Most evenings you’ll find me outside with my neighbors and all of our kids playing in the cul-de-sac! I enjoy anything that keeps me active. Working out is great stress relief for me. I regularly attended classes at Orangetheroy Fitness, I enjoy running, and walking my Chihuahua Vinnie. My husband and I love wine and good food! We enjoy traveling and spending time together as a family.
What matters: Being present and making memories with my husband and our boys is everything to me. As much as a house full of boys can make me want to pull my hair out at times, nothing makes me more fulfilled than my family. Growing together in our faith and trying every day to be better is a constant work in progress, in both my personal and professional life. As a nurse, I’m always striving to advance my education and knowledge in the aesthetic world. I genuinely want to provide the best care and experience to our cliental. I want the love for what I do to be evident to every patient that I’m lucky enough to come in contact with.

Director of Administration
Education/Experience: I am the friendly voice at the other end of the phone most times when you call our office. Earlier in life, I served in Iraq and Kuwait as a certified Combat Life Saver. I have been working alongside Dr. Hartman in the procedure rooms since September 2016.
Why Fine Arts? Before working at Fine Arts Skin & Laser, I was a client. I had mild acne and facial redness, so much that it was affecting my self-esteem. Dr. Hartman and his team helped to educate me on treatments and products that would be the most effective. I am proud to say that my face is now flawless, and my self-esteem is back to a 10. When I was offered a position, I knew immediately that I wanted to be a part of the team that “makes a difference.”
Family: I have been married to my husband, Christopher, for a year and half. We recently bought our first home and are making it our own. Chris and I have two “fur babies”: Judah (Great Pyrenees) and Django (German Shepherd), who have 10 ½ acres to roam and play on.
Hobbies: I love to go horseback riding any chance I get! I also enjoy attending cooking classes with my husband, trying new food from different cultures (foodie for life), writing in my blog, filming weddings, and sleeping (I really love my bed).
What Matters: Allow me to share this scripture with you from The Book of Philippians 4:6-7. Paul writes this while being in prison (yes, prison): “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his answers. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand.”
Education/Experience: I attended Aveda Institute in Columbus, OH. While there, I took every opportunity to attend advanced classes. I also enjoyed leadership roles in the school, including mentoring younger students. I am certified in advanced facials, full body relaxation massages, and body treatments, such as SculpSure®.
Why Fine Arts? I love being a part of Fine Arts! The people I work with are amazing, and the clients I meet are unforgettable. I cherish being able to help my clients with their skin care and body needs. I get so much satisfaction when they leave feeling beautiful and confident.
Hobbies: I love traveling, but also love just hanging out with friends and family.
What Matters: My faith is very important to me. I’m grateful for all the people and opportunities in my life. I realize the importance of giving back. I enjoy helping others and this job gives me the perfect opportunity to do so.
