This is an 81-year-old female had an enlarging, invasive squamous cell carcinoma skin cancer of her nasal tip. Fortunately for her, a comfortable, in-office procedure using binocular microscopy by Dr David Hartman at Fine Arts Skin & Laser removed the entire skin cancer followed immediately by a "bilobed flap" reconstruction. This bilobed reconstruction is far superior to skin grafting as the color, thickness and texture matching of the flap skin is perfect - as opposed to skin grafting (not used in our practice) techniques which often have poor thickness and color matching. This patient's stitches were out in a week. She has had no cancer recurrence at 3 years, and her incision sites are only barely detectable.
