Before - original repair (done elsewhere)

After - sutures removed at one week and fractional CO2 laser freshly applied to further blend to scar to make it un-noticeable
This beautiful 28-year-old female was bitten in the cheek by her friend's not-so-friendly dog. The unsatisfactory original repair (done elsewhere) eventually led her to facial plastic surgeon, Dr David Hartman of Fine Arts Skin & Laser. He removed the infected wound and reclosed the wound using binocular microscopy. Fractional CO2 laser was later applied to the wound area (last frame of photo series) to further blend the wound site to what eventually became a barely noticeable scar.
